Sitting in the sunshine with 60* degree temps in Milwaukee in November is lovely and deeply disturbing.

Harvested what will probably be the last of our cilantro and arugula.

I've mentioned this before but it bears repeating. Don't leave FSA funds on the table at the end of the year. LOTS of places like homeless shelters etc... would love donations of FSA eligible items. For the past 2 years, I've used left over funds to shop here: fsastore.com - then donate the items.

There are eco-tours, museum tours, art tours, etc. Why aren’t there bakery tours? I’d go on bakery tours. I think I’ve already done some self-guided ones.

Last Sunday left for Green Bay, Monday to Door County, Friday to Wausau. It’s good to be home.

If you end having to draft 60 year-olds, they do shrink :-)

And just like that, crickets seem to have arrived on the east side of Milwaukee. Cicadas only arrived two weeks ago.

Day 3 of my neighbor’s roof replacement. One more to go I think. Urban density means they are working out if my backyard. Cutting them all the slack. One of my uncles was a roofer. Tough business

It’s been a while since I’d seen the neighborhood bat. Good to see she or he is still flying in the city.

Hour 6+ on pork shoulder on the grill. It’s almost ready.

The Rule of Law Is Dead in the US The rule of law presupposes that there are rules that provide a consistent, repeatable, and knowable set of outcomes. That’s no longer the case.

This will have to count as my Supreme Court term review.

I make that point that there's no point in reviewing what the Supreme Court has done because the rule of law is dead in this country anyway.
