They are also not mine to take to pieces for TTRPGs. Obojima and others exploit Japanese culture, flattening it to cute or badass things without respect.

Heard a couple anecdotes of PayPal & Mastercard trying to get people to pivot to email late yesterday morning. It's a possibility they're not really set up to field a large volume of call complaints like they are with emails.

I agree. There was a petition floating around and they could've at least sent a link to it in their official post!

I am disappointed about how they handled this, especially how they deleted without saying anything and only made a post to clarify what was going on after people started noticing. But they're a small company and I don't blame them for caving. Maybe Steam will have more pull.

itch.io doesnt have a say in the matter because the payment companies (via, paypal, etc.) are pushing them to do this..
