Fancy, our foster, would be a great dog for someone who didn’t want a dog but caved to pressure from family.
Housetrained, respectful, small, plays with toys but isn’t obsessed, barks very little. And enjoys climbing up to fall asleep in your lap or next to you.
Perfect “I don’t want a dog” dog.
I've been re-watching Nurse Jackie and in S7E8 there's a very quiet, melancholy version of "I wanna dance with somebody" originally by Whitney Houston. The artist is Scott Matthew. It's a perfectly lovely place for the song and doesn't at all diminish the original.

Not the ICU's fault (that's a whole other rant), however, there is a whole "giving report" extravaganza that we do differently that ICU do not like.

I couldn't breathe while reading this. I'm an ER nurse and usually work with adults, but we do see peds (pediatric) patients and they've always scared the shit out of me because they can go bad so quickly. This is a beautifully written, horrifying account of what should never happen.
