If anyone wants to give me 475,000 USD there was a nice Damien Hirst at the gallery I went to today. You could always just give me 475,000 USD, it would always be a good idea.

If I keep going to work I'll have enough money to buy the things I keep buying to make myself feel better about how I hate my job so actually it's very sustainable.

You knew I was going to quit as soon as I finished my MA and that the department was insane and wouldn't hire anyone for over 6 months though, so it doesn't really count. That said I hope you aren't also cursed!

Cheers to these fellas. Even if I had my five rowdiest friends with me, I don't think we could put down more than like 128,000 beers total in one night

The one manager I've ever had who really believed in me is dead so maybe I'm actually cursed to have miserable jobs and anyone who tries to stop that will be struck down.

I prefer double quotes aesthetically (have seen a few awkward ones with single quotes and apostrophes) but they don't mean anything different. How bizarre.

The Marc Almond cover of Jacky is good but someone should do a synth pop remix of the original Jacques Brel version.

If it's peak hour and everything is crowded you really shouldn't be surprised when someone wants the seat you've given your bag.

Having been to restaurants while (I very much assume wannabe) "influencers" were there... Literally none of them ever seem to actually appreciate the food and they're very annoying to sit near. Restaurant critic is an actual job for a reason.

A friend of mine leads a peripatetic life and sends me photos of museums I might like from around the world. A sign museum in Amman, an electricity museum in Lima, and a paper museum in North Macedonia: I doubt I’ll ever get to any of them but I love these snippets from other places

A view I have held since I went to USyd is that they should ban parking on King St so the buses don't get stuck in traffic. A view I've held since the George St tram is they should replace the buses with a tram and pedestrianise the whole strip.
