Watching Musk and Trump tear each other apart today.

We have to fix those issues, but dismantling DoE isn’t going to do it as the states have mostly tried and failed to do it on their own.

Schools in Mississippi are rank at or near bottom - where I am in Colorado - it’s a good education state, but the school district I’m zoned for is awful, while the one that is literally across the street is among the top in the state.

While adjustments are needed on the state and federal level for education- shutting down the agency to give to the states is moronic. The states already have a lot of the control in their schools, and we have huge disparity in education quality.

Dept. of Education on the chopping block now with Trump. Why are republicans wanting this so much? I remember just looking at a charter school for my son (that has more funding than it needs from our Colorado school district) and it’s just a weird vibe… cont.

Did end up at UTSA for a semester with the program to get to Austin the following semester, but ended up going back to SHSU - which I’m so grateful for!
