It's one of the three best days of the work year for me - the arrival of the newest issue of Arches, the University of Puget Sound's alumni magazine!

My best advice is to pick up a bottle of University of Puget Sound alumni wine, sit back, and savour it (the article AND the wine)!

You'll also find two amazing recipes by cookbook author Cynthia Nims '86, and three delightful pieces of student writing. Anchored by the beautiful illustrations from John Jay Cabuay who perfectly placed campus in the middle of a vineyard - it's a treat from start to finish.

At the heart of it is the beautiful writing of Mike Veseth '72, who shares his insights into the many Loggers who have made amazing careers in the wine industry (and how wine is, he argues, a liberal art).

Loggers Share Their Love Stories Founded in 1888, University of Puget Sound is an independent, residential, and predominantly undergraduate liberal arts college.
