When I came up with the character, YEARS ago, I thought it would be funny if this demon hunter didn’t have pierced ears because she’s afraid of needles.
Turns out she had a bad at-home experience, and that’s why. 🤣
Don’t be afraid to recycle old story ideas.

God help me, I think I’m going to try doing Inktober this year.

Here in the midst of February, I like to pretend it’s a hot day in late June. I imagine walking down the packed dirt road, in the shade of old oaks and chestnuts, down to the creek to cool down. I’m lured forward by the sweet, fresh scent of honeysuckle.

Took time today to study the works of Brian Froud.
I've been inspired by his book, Faeries, and his work on Labyrinth since I was a teenager.
It's been tough making time to create art recently. I may be getting laid off at my day job soon, so we’ll see what happens with that. 😅

Always weird to me when I give out the advice “every character in your story should have some kind of want or goal” and people respond “not every person has things they want!!”

People IRL and story characters are not the same thing.
