An English language lifestyle magazine spotted in the Copenhagen airport newsstand. The title is "Jeanne d'Arc Living". The cover is all herbs and kitchen stuff on a white counter top, and there's a green wreath with dried orange slices on it. Unbelievable.

Petit fours that my very English auntie served at tea when I was about 6. They were not elaborate, but they were exquisitely small and smooth and sweet and CAKE!

The bronze statue of Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid, posed as she is becoming human, in Copenhagen harbour. The artist is Edvard Eriksen. The statue has a lot of verdigris. The water is intensely blue.

I was in the neighbourhood on Wednesday for a work thingie in Copenhagen, so we sauntered past The Little Mermaid statue. This photo has been cropped, but not altered for colour or lighting. The water was incredibly blue!
