I was off them for years due to having a bad experience with rancid ones (shudder), but now I'm back. Coffee is a really great partner flavour.

I was surprised to learn that buttered, toasted, chopped walnuts taste a bit like popcorn? Delicious.

Not sure why buttered walnuts isn't at least as popular as buttered almonds. 🍽️🍿🍜

Took a crack at an espresso walnut cake for a birthday. Espresso génoise sponge, buttered toasted walnut and espresso icing filling and topping.

I don't make a lot of cakes, so my decorating skills are pretty minimalist. Tasted good though!
