The idea that Democrats could be "forced to embrace racism" makes no fucking sense and I don't understand even giving oxygen to the premise.

I was mystified by its popularity. But I tried again when its final season started, and I realized all the "drama" was meant to be satire. All the supposed importance was only the self-importance of a few incredibly insubstantial, useless, and bad people. As satire and comedy, it's pretty great.

Considering all the people putting their livelihoods and their bodies on the line to speak out and defend their neighbors and Democracy generally, how can someone so protected by wealth and fame look on at all this and say nothing? Not only squander the attention of millions, but soak up more of it?

Consultants and politicians talking about messaging and reaching voters is not the same as a party's platform or the policies a politician supports. I'd really like to know what racial justice policies Democrats are choosing to abandon.
