With proposed Medicaid cuts, southern Illinois hospitals may be forced to slash services Touchette Regional Hospital relies on Medicaid for as much as 78% of its revenue — more than any other local hospital.

Rural hospitals across the nation depend on Medicaid to stay open.

Illinois' hospitals and health systems support 445,000 full-time jobs and anchor our rural communities.

If these cuts happen, hospitals will close and people will lose their jobs.
