From an operational security perspective, this is the highest level of fuckup imaginable. These people cannot keep America safe.

Thank you! This is good to know. I have a friend who got hers last year within three weeks as well so I’m hopeful it’s not affected too much. 🤞🏻 I am really glad that it appears they track the documents through each step. It’s definitely nerve-wracking right now, though. 😢

Is anyone noticing a longer wait time for passports? We’re about to order ours for the first time, my husband, son, and I, and I’m so incredibly worried about sending my original documents through the mail at a time like this!!! We couldn’t afford to order it last year. 😢
