Der GERD ist ein Prestigeprojekt für #Äthiopien und dient auch der nationalen Mobilisierung. Derzeit kann die produktive Wirtschaft den Strom kaum aufnehmen. Große Teile des erzeugten Stroms werden von v.a. chinesischen Crypto-Unternehmen genutzt. Viele Haushalte sind noch nicht am Stromnetz.

Krieg um Wasser? Das ist angesichts der heutigen Eröffnung des #GERD nicht zu erwarten. #Äthiopien ist darauf angewiesen, dass das Wasser abfließt - nur wenn es längere Dürren gibt, könnte das #Ägyptens Versorgung gefährden.
