This may be a bit of a stretch but after this I’ll have seen all of the long ones save Out/Spectre. Biggest challenge may be refraining from revisiting those already seen rather than exploring new ones!

Rewatching Jacques Rivette’s “Le Pont du Nord,” a fascinating oddity that’s stuck with me since the first time I saw it. One of those that just wormed its way onto my list of favorites.

I was also probably pissed off that Terry Steinbach beat Mickey Tettleton. The hosts presumably rolled their eyes but were gracious. The prize was a gift certificate for house paint. I never cashed it in.

For whatever reason, the topic I chose was bitching about All-Star Game voting. Now, anyone who complains about the public doing the voting is generally a narc, but my defense is that I was an absolute mess of a 16-year-old and had spent the summer submitting daily ASG ballots based on current stats

Memory out of the blue: summer of 1989 I was listening to sports talk radio and they asked a trivia question. Can’t remember the question but the answer was Mickey Lolich and for whatever reason I knew it. Called in, won the prize, got to speak my feelings to the Denver sports talk radio audience.
