Now there’s a ground stoppage in Phoenix? I live at LAX now like Tom Hanks in The Terminal.
But at least it will have all been worth it when this shutdown results in saving ACA subsidies!

Can’t decide if I’m going to be sincere or snarky here. Will probably just post my most basic, boring thoughts. You've been warned.

Actually, not sure how closed off they are… just seem to be limiting flights from West Coast? Been tough getting good info here at airport. What a mess.

Hope Trump’s having fun golfing, though.
They also make it easy-ish to vote in person, but anecdotally, seemed like very few voters brought the barcode they were mailed, which really speeds up check in (at my vote center, that’s where the logjam was as there were many open machines). To be fair, CA sends way too many election mailers.

Purely anecdotal — and there seem to be fewer vote centers near me than usual — but turnout at my polling place looks robust.
I apologize for all the times I ever said baseball’s boring.
I also apologize to all the dogs in my neighborhood.
Did they run out of non-Fox ads to run?

What’s your source for this? Best count of Hillary write-ins I could find only has numbers for three states (NH, PA & RI) & in each of them, Hillary got *far* fewer votes in ‘08 than Jill Stein got in ‘16. In fact, total number of ALL write-ins in ‘08 was 112,597. Stein got almost 1.5 million in ‘16
30.09.2025 23:45 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0From corrected obit: Ms. Holliday told The Post that she went uncredited for her work with Hoffman, who received an Oscar nomination for best actor for “Tootsie.”
CORRECTION A previous version of this article incorrectly said that Dustin Hoffman won an Oscar for best actor for his performance in "Tootsie." He was nominated for the award but did not win. It also incorrectly described Polly Holliday's role in the 1994 revival of "Picnic." She played Flo Owens, an overprotective mother.
Credit where due, the Post corrected it (the thing about Dustin Hoffman winning the Oscar, not the bogus use of Donald Trump’s full signature in a comparison to his first-name only signature).

From Washington Post obituary of Polly Holliday: Ms. Holliday told The Post that she went uncredited for her work with Hoffman, who took home the Oscar for best actor for “Tootsie.”
Ben Kingsley holding the Oscar he won for Gandhi while not being Dustin Hoffman.
Guess @washingtonpost.com has just given up on fact-checking. If something as easy to disprove as Dustin Hoffman winning an Oscar for Tootsie can find its way into a pre-written obituary, what other wholly made-up “facts” are they printing these days?
