According to this interview with his mom, his biological father's name was Henderson. Bio-dad abandoned his mother before Alec/Alex was born, and he was eventually adopted by his step-father, whose name was Ferrell. They did not hav a good relationship, so he changed his name to Henderson in 2020.

He was drafted by Atlanta, but joined MNUFC late in the 2017 season.
