Re: making the US prosecution service independent of POTUS: in no US state are the prosecutors controlled by Mayors or Governors*. Even only considering US compar. gov't, the USDOJ is strange.

*There's some level of Gov. appointment or supervision in different states, but nothing like POTUS' power.
