Absolutely! I lived in NC for 15 years until 2020. Saw Obama win there, by a squeaker, in 2008. Saw Romney win in 2012 at about the same margin Obama had previously won. We'd turned purple. In 2024 the Dem state party chair moved heaven and earth to get results. She's awesome. Election 2024? UGH!
