It almost feels like a British show (mostly shot at Pinewood, but you'll have scenes shot in England set in Canada (the presence of Boa a tipoff), then scenes shot in Canada set in England, or scenes shot in Norway set in England)

I am fascinated by the uncanniness of Canadian shows of that era. Ever seen their attempt at a miniseries, the British co-pro A Man Called Intrepid, made for NBC, with Michael York, David Niven, Barbara Hershey in brownface and plenty of Canadian-based actors and yer Shane Rimmers and Bruce Boas

Ah, it's not exclusively Canadian.

As an Irishman, I often feel I'll say one and then the Brits will say
, 'that's shite'.

He did star in a Yorkshire TV drama (albeit coproduced with CBS and starring Courteney Cox), Till We Meet Again.

Starred Michael York, Courteney Cox, Mia Sara, Lucy 'Lolly' Gutteridge, Hugh Grant in his Phoenix Buchanan era, prime Rentabrits Charles Shaughnessy (son of Pete Walker's pal Alf), Maxwell Caulfield, his wife Juliet Mills, plus Barry Bostwick AND Bruce Boxleitner, back to B5.

What's funny is he was cast as a Brit in a late 80s CBS-Yorkshire TV co-production, Till We Meet Again (not to be confused with We'll Meet Again).

They used to have to get Irish folk to slightly less bad American accents (see Joe Lynch, Harry Towb and Ray McAnally's careers)

I often wonder how is the Wizarding World's relationship to say the Fortean Times?

Also how do wizard businesses make money? Bertie Botts etc? Are bands like the Wyrd Sisters basically amateur club acts?

He was a GC gay who then found himself the victim of horrific homophobic abuse.

Especially when they are going to bump into GC gays and treat them like how Glinner's gay friend Arty Morty was.
Arty Morty I presume took his name from Without A Clue, which has a trans character in it.

Just realised that the wizarding population is gonna be much, much smaller than the trans population. No wonder JKR is such an odd lady.

I realise there are more insightful political criticisms of Harry Potter, but Quidditch is the worst sport ever described and yet a laughably unsustainable proportion of the tiny wizard population is playing it at a professional level.

Do we think they believe in other wackjob conspiracy theories?
The one actual transphobe I know (my uncle, I'm not gonna call him a terf, cos he's not a feminist) has interests in other conspiracies, but also believes that 'LABOUR ARE TRANSING KIDS', Starmer's gay and Rayner's intersex. Really.
