In a sane world, this would be a huge issue being discussed and worked on by our leaders, but… we don’t live in a sane world and they are instead busy further enriching the unimaginably wealthy, and destroying the government and the social safety net programs we will need more than ever.

I know there’s been talk about Universal Basic Income and such, but… where is that money coming from? And imagine the power of the people who own and run all the computers and machines while everyone else has no work

Anyone else sometimes stop and wonder about what the hell we are gonna do as a society in like 5 years when AI and automation have made like 75% of human jobs obsolete? Even now, when we mostly HAVE jobs things are tough and people are broke. Whats gonna happen?

I never understand this argument. It really shouldn’t be that hard to NOT make huge mistakes. They say “you can’t be perfect” but you can easily avoid catastrophic mistakes if you use a little caution and double check things.

Cut taxes on everyone, and cut taxes on manufacturing, and cut taxes for business, and also balance the budget? Why not also promise a pony in every backyard, hell, a UNICORN!

Idea for you all. What if the Dems in congress announced in advance of Trump’s address tonight, that every time he lies, they will raise a hand. And then every time the camera cuts to them in the seats, if their hands are raised, it’s a visual cue to viewers that he has just lied. @aoc.bsky.social

1: Work on delaying shoulder turn until front foot plants
2: reduce stagger of plant foot
3: Start pull from full reachback by bending the elbow, BEFORE turning shoulders
4: keep eyes on the disc, not turning forward
5: protract the shoulder (push it OUT)
6: Elbow stays up and out not down and in
