Somehow, it’s simultaneously redundant AND incorrect.
Folks are asking a really good question about age cutoffs for colorectal cancer screening, suggesting it should be younger.
A lot of rigorous and thoughtful work by experts goes into designing guidelines.
It might seem that everyone should get a FIT test, but there are risks involved in this.
Shout out to Dr. Mary McDermott who was the first author of a study published in @jama.com about how certain medication doesn’t help people with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) which’ll further impair walking performance.

Still, I don't think we should willingly aquiesce to our own dimunition and commodification at the hands of corporate medicine.

Am in year 3 of a 5 year project.
It's pretty de-motivating to not be sure if year 4 funding will be there.
A big waste of taxpayer money, which, for the record, for our project, would fund teams in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Utah.
There was a brief window before the government shutdown when AHRQ grants were going out.
