We have made 406 posts and have 113 followers. That means for every 1 follower we make 4 posts. Not bad, in and of itself. However, each post that may be comparable to a 'tweet' costs: "a single tweet emits 0.026g in CO2-equivalent emissions"

As a follow-up, we have been recognizing Black-and-White thinking more often now. It was a timely lesson to learn :)

Once again, polluting more gives more gains. Posting on this platform, even using mostly text is still participating in the deluge of emissions. It makes it not fun and instead a gamble that constantly posting will lead to a bigger payoff worth the emissions. Not sure it is ever worth it.

Realized one of our game characters is going to have a boss who personalizes daily video messages so that he addresses each employee by name through AI-enhancement of DAILY briefings. Knowing the ecological cost of AI, this frivolous 'optimization' for the organization is a fearful possibility.

When it comes to #energy expenditure and #industrial processes we have individuals who say: You mean if I just don't care what I do with my #waste I can make a tonne of #money? Maybe even doubl(-r-)/e/ back and compensate a bit of it and make sure people do't hound me?!
