In the process of watching it (to feed my own devilman brainworms, ofc) and i wanted to comment on Ryo's character inspiration!
It's only a speculation i've seen before, but he might've been inspired by Tezuka's Rock Holmes, another morally grey queer-coded guy in glasses first appearing in 1949!
