You've obviously seen them in a bigger venue than I did. He'd definitely have done himself (and possibly an audience member/bandmate) some harm there.

Something about the settings prevents me replying, but a fine bunch of Forest fans they are, probably for the best that not involving the man himself in any way (legendthough he is). First album is a cracking collection of 'pop Fall' polemics. Second is v decent too.

Nice to see the Uriah Rennie tribute in the programme.

It's definitely the state of mind for me. Has been one of those years that has made music more *necessary* than usual (work...) and so having properly good new records to turn to has been lovely.

It helps that I've already seen him twice this year playing it, but it really does have me a touch more than the others. Possibly because it's a bit less, erm, rich.

The Sacred Paws album is an especial joy too. I shifted a couple of copies of the Rats record by playing it to people who love Disintegration.

Obvs getting knocked over is probably more about where I'm at than the records. I've clearly been a bit susceptible this year, but do think a lot of people have been at the top of their game. The new, a tad more accessible, Rich Dawson would have had me off my feet any time though.
