What a horrible woman to willingly inflict so much suffering on her own child. This is beyond ignorance, or religious beliefs, this is staggering cruelty. She should be imprisoned for attempted manslaughter.

You don't need everyone around you to know you've got mental health issues, and that's the only message anyone looking at this house gets.

If the intent is to change minds towards your cause, signs like these won't do it. Few will read signs like these, and their message is too easily written off.

I can't read them, so I won't defend them, but either way they're pointless if they're not effective, and they're not effective.

Sure average people who work in aircon and don't exercise much, don't need them, but those who work outside, especially in very hot or humid places (like much of Australia) benefit. You feel sick if you only drink water trying to rehydrate.

I agree most use cases for AI implementation are niche & narrow. I'm not sure how valuable a lot of it is for consumers, we'll find out when they have to pay, but many businesses will find uses beyond data crunching. All new tech changes the job landscape. Typing pools don't exist anymore do they?

LLMs are one form of AI, and I agree many consumer tools have been disappointing. That does not mean all AI is bad or worthless. Enterprise level support is a great example of where AI enabled agents are able to handle 80% of requests - that is transformative. I won't defend the OTT investments tho.

I share concerns that current implementations of AI technology (and cryptocurrencies) are wasting precious resources. Government regulation is needed to curtail its impacts. A secondary benefit might be that limiting its use would prevent wasting compute on generating slop.

It's unfortunate that slop creation engines are what most people think AI is, because of course it is more than that, and will be transformative (for better and worse).

I worry many will miss exploring the depths of its usefulness due to the current poor application of the technology.

I wrote to my local (Labor) MP and got a response that indicated they did not agree with the visit and had raised it with Albo.

His decision has only cemented my belief that @albomp.bsky.social is a pathetic fraud of a man completely unsuited to leading Australia at this time.

I am sure it will be the constant double standards that will increase, and drive, antisemitism in this country.

What's crazy is the people most concerned with a wealthy elite running things in the shadows, effectively votes for them to do exactly that.

It is unbelievably naive of Labor. The blatant double standards that are being applied to Israeli war mongers are going to increase division and make Jewish Australians feel a whole lot less safe in the long run. Why can't our politicians learn from the failures of the American moderates?
