This sure seems more like the tyranny the Constitution is supposed to protect against than forgiving student loans.

Extraordinary courage from Ahmed al Ahmed, a Muslim, 43-year-old father of two, who bravely risked his life to save his neighbors celebrating Hanukkah.

Praying for his full & speedy recovery.

And so deeply inspired by his example.

Who is a fool? One who is content with their own limited understanding of the world.

Every American should read this ACLU lawsuit about what is happening in Los Angeles and California. It is the stuff of dystopian nightmares. This is not immigration enforcement. It is positively stuffed with videos and articles documenting racial profiling on a scale unseen since Jim Crow.

if young voters turned out like they did for Zohran Mamdani for every race, the Democratic Party would never lose an election again

so naturally, establishment Dems are…smearing him and refusing to endorse?

Although Zohran would with a plurality without RCV, I think the candidate collaboration that RCV encouraged helped him do so well. It both underscored his positive message and elevated many voices talking about why NOT to vote for Cuomo.

WOW. The Trump admin said they will review social media and deny immigration benefits to people saying antisemitic claims. They're even trying to deport people with green cards on alleged claims of antisemitism.

Anyway, here's a tweet from an Afrikaner they flew here on Monday.

Trump administration reverses controversial termination of student visas The Trump administration restored visa registrations for foreign students after setting off a desperate scramble by abruptly terminating them.

ACLU affiliates brought over a dozen lawsuits against the Trump administration's unlawful termination of student visas across the country β€” and now the administration seems to be reversing course.

The power of the people is stronger than the people in power.

How Trump Plays Into Putin’s Hands, From Ukraine to Slashing U.S. Institutions (Gift Article) Many of President Trump’s actions have been seen as benefiting Russia either directly or indirectly, so much so that Russian officials have celebrated some of his moves.

This is exceptionally well reported: in case after case Trump has surrendered long time US interests to favor Russia and gained nothing in return. When you put it all together it a staggering surrender.

3/4. If we accept the idea that moving a person from one place to another undoes rights and disempowers the judiciary, we are endorsing the basic Nazism practice that enabled the killing of millions.

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

Just a legal historian here reminding everyone that β€œhigh crimes and misdemeanors” do not need to be felonies.

They can include political abuses and stupidity, like, hypothetically, destroying the economy and wiping out people’s savings in 3 days.

Someone should make a film about a mad king, say in the late 18th century, whose arbitrary rule and foolish decision-making inspired people in one of his colonies to create a political system in which power would be distributed more widely so as to avoid the harms of such mercurial policy making.

Please note the quality of the legal argument in support of the Executive Orders that prompted you to capitulate to extortion (and note the absence of *any* Civil Division or other litigating division attorneys).
