๐ Qiskit v2 is not backwards compatible with Qiskit v1. Upgrading blindly with `pip install -U qiskit` might break your code.
๐ฆฅ Qiskit v1.4 will receive bug fixes until Sept 2025. Use it as a transitional version `pip install -U qiskit>=1.4,<2`

Qiskit does not do it *that* differently. The last stage of the compilation is scheduling and it's similar to your circuit-to-pulse compiler.
