Maybe a minor rebuild. I think the acquisition of Semien means that McNeil’s days with the team are numbered. If guys in the minors are ready, then good.

Semien will be better than the guy who’s been playing second for the Mets, which I suppose means he’ll be traded too. Mets are essentially rebuilding this year when they shouldn’t have to.

To be fair, you’ve been under a lot of stress this year. But I hear ya, I’m retired and my brain has no interest in doing anything useful like acquiring knowledge.

I’m not sure I like this trade. Nimmo’s a homegrown guy and a good if not spectacular player. But Mets need better defense, and they’ll get it, plus this opens up a path for them to sign a free agent corner outfielder who is better and younger than Nimmo. I get why they did it, but I’m not happy.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

She’s my rep too, and I have a lot of respect for her. I also appreciate her decision to step aside in favor of new leadership. Not an easy decision, I’m sure, but it’s time.
