I cannot express what art does to people I see it in person but honestly it is a great thing. The thing about people in prison is that they have all the time in the world on their hands and dont know how to spend it because there is not much to do in this place. A lot of guys succumb to the hardness and get lost in the sauce in a way with negative things. That is the 70% of offenders that keep coming back. The 30% is the guys that are doing productive things with their time like working, attending groups an classes, working on the real issues they struggle with and ART. Most guys send the artwork to their children which is fire. I Have been locked up since I was 18 years old and I found what I am passionate about and I have been sharing it with everyone I encounter. I am now 29 years old and I want to share something with you from my heart. I would rather be in prison living the way I am living now Sober and clear minded for the rest of my life than go back to the way I was living when I was on the street. I do not have life without parole I get out in about 6 years but I feel freer than I have ever felt in my whole life. Thanks again. 2/2 Moon over lake Ontario

Went night kayaking with Toronto Adventures yesterday. We paddled to the lake and watched how from the dark blue velvet cloud the orange disk was slowly rising. People on the bridge cheered. It was incredible. We should have a special hymn to sing on this occasion 1/2
