Lufthansa still operates some 747-400 as passenger aircraft - we see them flying across the pond from the USA (we are on the flight route from the USA to Europe).

Gorgeous.

Oh, ........
he's very funny too!
Hah! That's cool. So someone on the ISS is deliberately making something more difficult than it needs to be so a bunch of nerds can have a good time? π₯³ NASA et al - I salute you! (Fellow nerd here BTW)
14.07.2025 22:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ah. Ok. Thank you. Is there a good reason why they would transmit tv images over radio channels? (I'm thinking that the live feed from the on board cameras means they have faster methods!)
14.07.2025 10:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Good question! For example "a shot from PSKreporter mapping 24 h of FT8 monitoring, 10-160 m, in Vancouver, and 24 h of WSPR transmission at 200 mW." And the nooelec stuff (SDR etc) and the ISS images. Is there some sort of resource to help me understand what you're doing?

02.03.2025 22:32 β π 33 π 13 π¬ 1 π 0@sirmichael.bsky.social some bad news I'm afraid - looks like our GREAT DEAL is coming under scrutiny - all the European guys are meeting in the UK today to discuss my investment advisor. Bit OTT I think? Any chance you could throw in some extra security guards to sweeten the deal?
02.03.2025 11:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ummm ... Just to say that my investment advisor has been a bit busy with his Ukrainian colleague today, and frankly things have gone a bit t*ts up, so it may be a few days before I can confirm the deal @sirmichael.bsky.social . Sincere apologies.
28.02.2025 21:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Excellent news. Just need to speak to my investment advisor before we sign the deal, but he's been tied up with the British prime minister and some Ukrainian guy ... But I'm sure he'll give us the go ahead, especially if you throw in all of the mineral deposits buried underneath those pitches.
28.02.2025 09:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've made this point before - footballers should take note of the cushy Ts & Cs that boxers have - they only play one or two games a year, get paid millions, and they win a PURSE which is more useful than a stupid massive cup.
Let's get this trending:

As it turns out, I own a rather large campsite/back garden. I can offer it at very reasonable rates to premier League clubs - say Β£499/game? Due to capacity issues they'd probably have to reduce the frequency of matches though, as per your previous excellent suggestion bsky.app/profile/sirm....
27.02.2025 07:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@sirmichael.bsky.social Wow - that's a genius idea! I'm going to use it for the notes I leave for the postman, so my pesky neighbours won't know that he's putting my parcels behind the toolshed. This is Nobel-prize level blue-sky out of the box thinking !

Yup. I don't use streaming services, and have all my CDs burned to one humongous usb key in my car, and also on my media server in the house. I listen to complete albums 99% of the time.
They were crafted in a particular order, and you get the most out of them that way.
Yeah, what he said!
22.01.2025 23:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Honestly, it's tantamount to modern slavery. They should join the same union as the boxers. They only have to play one game every year or so! And they win purses, which at least are practical compared to stupid cups!
Let's get this hashtag trending!

This is a great idea. The moon is tiny - if you form your thumb and forefinger into a ring, you can easily fit the moon inside.
It therefore seems to me that the only flaw in your plan is that our arms aren't long enough. We need a gofundme to genetically increase arm length. Who's with me?
My thinking is that with a bunch of pianistically enraged crazy Napoleonic soldiers chasing after you, saving the piano is the last thing on your mind ? So piano weight is frankly a moot point?
