Any major bailout should be conditional on the government (we) taking a share in the enterprise. The massive bailout given to Qantas during the Covid restrictions is a good example. Much of that money went into the pocket of Joyce in the form of bonuses - for illegally sacking staff.

How can any government which claims to be responsible possibly allocate in excess of 1 billion to a bloody football stadium when hospitals and schools are crying out for funding and the state is struggling with debt.

I live in the Geelong and did NOT vote for him. Mainly because I phoned his local office and asked if he was going to hold a public forum for his constituents. Was told no, too busy in Canberra. Problem is, it’s very much a Labor area. He does nothing for locals but gets re-elected every time

I've just spent half an hour searching the AEC site without success for the list of donors. Do they intentionally make it hard to find?

Such a pity 4 corners didn’t go the next step and provide details on how much the gambling industry as a whole donates to the political parties. Im sure that has a great deal to do with the reluctance to act on the Murphy report.

Albo has shown himself to be as weak as piss on so many occasions. The NACC fiasco, the Robodebt fail, the banning of gambling ads on TV, giving in to the Jewish lobby, etc.
Enough is enough Albo - either do the job you were elected (with a nice majority) to do or piss off!

Just watched Ted O’Brian on 7.30. He reinforces all that you say. Just the usual rhetoric. Labor is spending too much, but failed every time to say what he would wind back.

With the mandate they were given, and the numbers they have in parliament, the ALP could do so many good things that are so overdue for this country, all it would take is balls, unfortunately, I doubt Albo has any!

Until the highly paid CEOs and Chairpersons are made personally responsible for the decisions they make, especially when it's to appease a minority lobby group, this type of maladministration will continue. Buttrose should be answerable for her actions!

Sorry Dave, it just won't happen. Albo has shown his colours so often when it comes to implementing what the public want. No RC into the media. No banning of TV gambling ads. Donations from big business are more important, and of course he is scared of a backlash from the Murdoch Media.

As well as Charities, churches and pseudo-religious organisations should be made to pay tax - so many of them are engaged in commercial activates, property investing, etc. So many of their leaders are living a luxury lifestyle most of us can only dream of.
