People have skin in the game. They can be sacked. AIs don’t

And there is now this weird flex where the AI does the thing you’re are supposed to yourself, badly, and people just shrug when the errors are pointed out and say ‘huh AI. Watcha gone do?’

Left unchecked, this is how the world ends.

And I’ve spent countless hours editing samples on my Casio FZ-1. I can do fiddly and slow. But something about the way that 303 thing works hurts my soul. Maybe I was ruined by having rebirth first?

I’ve got the behringer hardware clone and a couple of software ones and you have to be very much missing the point of the music to be able to tell the difference. Though the hardware one is the one I’m most likely to want to lob out of the window. Frustrating little shit box.

I think he was reasonably likely to have been a bit stoned while doing that drive, but he’d probably built up some tolerance over the preceding 4 decades.
