This was a terrific episode of Flux. Great to have Mary Seacole and the mystery of Sontarans in history. Only two things make me wince: the chocolate scene, and the casting of Dan’s parents being slightly older than John Bishop-although I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t read it, and they were great!

The new Tylenol ad just dropped. Sound up!

Watching Doctor Who’s Ambassadors of Death made in 1970, but set a few years in the future. There is a note on the Blu-ray subtitles about a shot that was cut of a sign that said “War Department”. Perhaps because some things are too stupid even for a sci-fi series from decades ago.

It was well done and I enjoyed it at the time, but can’t remember the end and I heard it a month ago. I guess the ending didn’t make an impression! I was skeptical at behind-the-scenes comparisons to the epic saga of Lord of the Rings… calm down folks.

Until now, this scene has been my favorite part of the Aliens franchise. Looking forward to the Noah Hawley FX version.

I did see these NA novels in the US at the time, at places like Borders books. I didn’t get this one, but from reading Blood Heat and Eternity Weeps, and what I’ve heard about Parasite, I would also hope that Jim got some kind of therapy. Looking forward to hearing the Hamster support group!

Rough! Lots of weird problems in each episode. Bill’s treatment is awful. The finale had a lot going for it, but what a Gloomy Gus. These are not to be shown to a new fan first. Next era please.

Had to dump D+ since it went up to $11-17/month. They seem done with Doctor Who anyway. To see the upcoming UNIT spinoff I might need help from these guys.

Love the cast, Bill and Nardole are intriguing companions. Unfortunately I remember lots of this season having flaws, such as the absurdly abrupt ending in knock knock. I haven’t been back. Thin Ice came out the best, even if a kid died- some Hamster hosts may count that as a bonus!
