I've updated my pitch visualizer! You can now query specific pitchers on the Pitcher Search page.

There have been 12 players to hit 3+ HR in a Postseason game.
There have been 16 pitchers to have a Postseason game with 6+ IP, 2 hits or fewer, 10+ K, and 0 runs allowed.
Only one did both on the same night.
Statcast data for Vlad Guerrero's double and Cal Raleigh's double in the first inning of ALCS Game 5.
Assuming all these numbers are correct, Raleigh's ball went 70 feet shallower than typical ball hit at this velo/trajectory, while Vlad's went 90 feet deeper. Topspin and backspin, man.

Great article! You might find my pitch visualization tool interesting: gabes135.github.io/pitch-visual...
The site updates with the daily leaders in pitch motion (rise, sink, cut, and run), and I've noticed that Vesia routinely tops the IVB leaderboard.
Here's a short primer on my simulation tool: gabes135.github.io/pitching-pri...
I plan on posting a more in-depth article with all of the details soon.
This is outstanding, especially the comparison tool.
Stanek's four-seam w/ & w/o an additional ~2 inch of break. Note how long after release it takes for the difference to be noticeable. Good illustration of why it takes a while to lock in on a pitcher having more ride than expected.
Induced vertical break, spin efficiency, seam-shifted wakeโwhat do these buzzwords mean for a pitch trajectory? Explore using my Statcast-based pitch visualizer (physics modeling based on work of @pobguy.bsky.social). Updated daily with new pitching data!
