Do you have a link to the 2025 plan? Wondering if itβs been shared to the service councils because I canβt seem to find it anywhere.

24.07.2025 01:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also itβs pretty grim how the plan only identifies one funding source for further bus service expansion: congestion pricing (which is now pretty much dead under Wiggins/Bass leadership)
24.07.2025 01:18 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I canβt find the final version of the 2022 plan but the redlined version I can find says itβs permissible to do wider stop spacing βwhere local conditions allowβ like lower density/lower ridership potential areas.
24.07.2025 01:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I would hope that stop removal and new bus lanes could help here, but also hard to imagine anything they have done so far has made a dent considering buses in service are stopping more because of less Rapid and more Local service.

23.07.2025 17:44 β π 14 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0The freeway widening plans are to eventually create a full network of expresslanes that will help people pay money to go faster without doing real congestion pricing, and I hope fund bus service along them. But it seems like a terrible cost/benefit with the way Metro caps the tolls
10.07.2025 14:08 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0They would likely shift to stay on existing ROW, so they would probably be able to use existing exemptions for zero-emissions rail on existing ROW.

28.05.2025 15:46 β π 249 π 27 π¬ 15 π 2Definitely. But once construction gets going on the first segment, people are going to start wondering why anyone made it any harder to build the second phase because the forced transfer to the A line will be so bad
28.05.2025 16:46 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I feel like this is just going to result in a report coming back that the city does not want an EIFD, like every other time theyβve studied it. Another case of the board going against staff and delaying the project a few years for no good reason.
28.05.2025 16:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Really wish K to E eastbound transfer didnβt involve crossing Crenshaw. Thereβs a knockout panel in the station that could be used to build another entrance closer to the E line platform, so I wish there were plans to get it built in the next couple years!

19.05.2025 04:19 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah I can definitely see it being faster, but a lot of people going to LAUS are going there to transfer to another train or bus, so having to already transfer twice before then is going to make that option unattractive
16.05.2025 05:31 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah I donβt know how thatβs going to work for almost 20 years. Theyβre going to have a bus to union station, but I donβt know how many riders will actually want to put up with that
16.05.2025 04:09 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Maybe Janice Hahn will order a study to investigate tunneling the A line under Washington, grade separating flower junction, and interlining WSAB through the regional connector. I canβt imagine it would be more expensive than this
15.05.2025 21:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Yeah because itβs $12.2 billion now π
15.05.2025 21:25 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If they have to rebuild the median for the BRT, I wonder why they are not considering a Class I bike path. I generally do not like bike lanes in the middle of a street because it forces cyclists to cross traffic to get to anywhere useful, but in this case it would avoid any conflicts with driveways

11.05.2025 01:20 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0WE THEREFORE MOVE THAT the MTA Board of Directors adopt and direct the Chief Executive Officer to do the following: 1. Develop the 96* Street Station, in consultation with LAWA, using the following design guidelines: a. Enclosed facility b. Integrated APM/Light Rail station, minimizing walk distances c. Concourse areas d. LAX airline check-in with flight information boards e. Station restrooms f. Free public WiFi & device charging areas g. Private vehicle drop-off area, and taxi stand h. Pedestrian plaza with landscaping and street furniture i. Metro Bike Hub with parking, a bike repair stand and bike pump, showers, lockers, controlled access and 24-hour security cameras j. Retail (food/beverage and convenience) β’ L.A. visitor info and LAX info kiosk I. Connectivity to Manchester Square and surrounding areas, including walkways m. At a minimum, LEED Silver certification n. Public art installation o. Other amenities for airport travelers, including currency exchange and bank/ATM machines p. Passenger safety Airport Metro Connector Attachment A - Page 2 of 3 2. Report back at the September 2014 MTA Board meeting, in consultation with LAWA, with a review of baggage check amenities that are available at other transportation centers that serve major airports, including an assessment of the feasibility of offering baggage check at the proposed 96*h Street Station. 3. Procure a qualified architectural firm to design the station as described under no. 1 above. 4. Provide quarterly updates, in coordination with LAWA staff, including, but not limited to, on the development of the 96*h Street Station, the Intermodal Transportation Facility and Automated People Mover, of the following: a. Design b. Schedule c. Cost Estimates
Here is the LA city council motion demanding Metro build a new station instead of using Aviation/Century as the transfer station.
10.05.2025 17:50 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Itβs because Mike Bonin and Eric Garcetti didnβt like Metroβs original plan to have people walking on a pedestrian bridge between Aviation/Century and the peoplemover. They wanted a more direct connection and got Metro and LAWA to push for a brand new fancy transfer station.
