I like a walk around the loop on a wet dreary day. Makes for some nice black and white photos.

To quote the tourist my wife overheard when she worked downtown "How am I supposed to see them all when there's so many fucking buildings?"

I feel like that could be a tourism slogan for the city.

I don't really have a point, I'm just really excited to be here still.

When I first started watching Rob's videos I lived in Nashville and commented on the lack of walkability in the video about walkable neighborhoods in unwalksable cities. Now I live in Lincoln Square and see a ton of spots I walk around regularly in today's video.

Tracks caught fire near Western. Looked like some construction material maybe got caught around the third rail.

They fucking hate anyone would dare to live in this city; they'd be happy to take out anyone else they could even if they don't have the go ahead yet.

I've been watching the Fallout show and re-playing New Vegas again; and boy do I have a lot of complicated thoughts about the Fallout franchise. Probably to an unhealthy degree.

Same; I've played a hell of a lot of Starfield (probably will play it again!) because I'm a sucker for the Bethesda "gameplay loop"β„’. But, man, it really showed how much they're falling behind in world building, characters, etc. Left so much to be desired from it.

I remember reading awhile back that the insane NYC condos like 432 Park aren't even really meant to be fully occupied. Like, the capacity of the building to actually support people (elevators and such) isn't enough if every unit is occupied. They're pretty much just financial instruments.

Hah, he talked about that in one of his comment videos. IIRC it was that the idea came later and it was cheaper than going back to Europe. :V

I kinda figured most people just don't really know what the statistic means (I know I didn't at one point) and that just the nature of the internet means you can't admit you're wrong and learn otherwise.

Already been recommended a few times, but I'd echo Grady Hendrix. My wife's a big fan of horror stories and loves most of his. How to Sell a Haunted House and The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. She really likes Hex by Thomas Olde Heuvelt too.
