I checked out a new mural backstage at Festival Place with awesome Strathcona County staff (shoutout to Jenny & Lindsey!). The mural was painted by young artists in summer camps. The project taught teamwork, leadership & life skills. Let’s keep supporting local theatre & arts!

Yesterday, my team and I hosted a tent at the Strathcona Museum and Archives’ Multiculturalism Day celebrations.

Multiculturalism Day appropriately lands just before Canada Day, reminding us of the cultural mosaic that makes Canada such a vibrant and welcoming place for all.

Alberta as we know it today simply would not exist without the millions of immigrants and refugees who built it, who loved it, and who were proud to call it home - including my grandparents and my mum. This bitter xenophobia is as unAlbertan as it’s possible to be. I’m ashamed. I’m disgusted.

Celebrate Canadian Multiculturalism Day this Friday at Strathcona County Museum and Archives. 🇨🇦

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. See you there!
