I’m blown away by the 20 000 Albertans who rallied at the Legislature today. Buses from Sherwood Park were full of people fed up with the UCP’s failure on education. They demanded that Danielle Smith do the right thing and bring teachers a fair deal so that every student can thrive in the classroom.

Alberta health officials were also directors at a company linked to a supplier Corporate filings reveal further links between Alberta Health Services procurement staff and private firms

Just last week the UCP announced they would not make the interim report on the Corrupt Care scandal public. Now we have learned that two AHS procurement officials were directors at a company with ties to a supplier at the centre of the allegations.

Alberta's students are worth so much more than the lowest per-student funding in the country.

Investing in education is the BEST thing we could do to build a better future for our province. We'll never stop fighting for that.

Students have spent the past ten years waiting for this school to be built. First they had classes in a rented space at the Cité Francophone, then they moved to portable classrooms in Sherwood Park. These students have been very patient.

Yesterday’s public school opening was extra special, as it was the culmination of 10 years of hard work by the Franco-Albertan community in Strathcona County. MLA Janis Irwin presented a plaque on my behalf honouring the opening of École Claudette-Et-Denis-Tardif in Sherwood Park.

Chaque fois qu’une école publique ouvre ses portes en Alberta, c’est une bonne journée. Félicitations aux familles, aux élèves, aux enseignants et aux champions de la francophonie de Sherwood Park pour leurs dix années de travail qui ont rendu possible cette nouvelle école publique.

Many disabled Albertans participate meaningfully in our economy by working for supportive employers and contributing to our communities. It feels more important than ever to bring awareness to the value that disabled Albertans bring to our province.

Yesterday, I attended a march organized by Winder Inclusive Community Services to mark Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM)

Terry Fox’s legacy inspires hope, courage, and determination. Each September, we run to honour his dream of a future without lives lost to cancer. Thanks to his impact, research has advanced, and lives are being saved. This progress is fuelled by events like the Terry Fox Run in Sherwood Park.

The premier & her enviro minister will announce a plan to weaken AB’s Technology Innovation & Emission Reduction (TIER); industrial carbon pricing.

TIER is smart investment & climate policy. It has brought billions of dollars & created jobs.

Division Chief Tom Kruk passed away last year from cancer linked to his service as a Strathcona County firefighter. Tom’s name was added to the Memorial wall, a symbol of our community’s gratitude to his, and his family’s sacrifice.

This year’s memorial service was an important reminder of the hazards faced by first responders. Many firefighters experience mental health challenges and long-term health consequences as a result of their service.

Every year, members of Strathcona County’s first responder community gather at the Fallen Fire Fighters' Memorial to commemorate those who have passed away in the line of duty.

It is harvest time across Alberta! Rode combine with Jackson Family Homestead who has been farming land in Sherwood Park for over 100 years. Farmers are growing our food and I for one am very grateful for the good work they do!
