I'm inviting Elon Musk. He owes the American people answers on why he’s trying to shut down the financial cop on the beat that prevents big corporations from cheating Americans.

Time for democratic leaders to step up, DO something. No more “I’m mad as hell” posts. We get it, you are mad. You know what? You’ve got the power to do something. We “regular people” don’t. If we try, we get arrested or shot. Do the job we elected you for. Protect the people, democracy and the US.

We? What are our elected officials doing to stop this? Pretty sure if WE tried to stop him we would be arrested or executed. He wasn’t elected. His henchmen weren’t elected. We, the American people can’t do this for 4 years.

At many points in my life I would have done just about anything to prevent even an ounce of suffering to another person, I wrong in assuming this was the case for everyone. It’s sad, like a death, knowing people are not inherently good. 🧵😢

One of the saddest moments I’ve experienced sometime in the 🍊’s last campaign was realizing that we live amongst people who see others as beneath them. These 🍊 followers are devoid of compassion, empathy and integrity. 🧵

Unaffiliated is the way to go honestly. It’s going to be a long time before I trust any political party. The democrats are spineless and the republicans are vile. We don’t need a party system anymore. We need people who have integrity and common decency. The US used to be a place to be proud of.

I’m going to look into this, we need to get away from the “two party system”. It’s broken, but I’m not sure this is going to get him elected.

It’s what MAGA wants, to scare people away from voting/from running for office. It’s unfortunate, but it’s working.

Supposed to have the collective “our” best interest at heart. What happened to safe schools, healthy children, healthy seniors, etc… when did it become acceptable to single out people who are already struggling/disadvantaged/the minority? Add up the minorities, they are the majority.

But don’t run on values you, yourself don’t uphold. Don’t tell others how to live when you obviously don’t hold those values yourself and for goodness sakes, don’t point a finger unless you can confidently say there won’t be a dozen pointing right back. The ONLY time certain extra curricular activities should be commented on during an election is when a candidate is “preaching” about family values or pushing a pro-family agenda. When they’ve cheated/divorced/side piece, etc… aside from that? It’s not fodder for an election. People aren’t perfect 🧵

They would have too much ammunition against me. Roller derby, nude model at Munson, child-free by choice, pro-LGBTQ, pro-choice, tattoos, piercings, I’ve been with men other than my husband before we were together (the horror). They’d make life miserable for Joe. They can’t run a clean campaign.

A local democrat group is begging “good people” to run for local offices, I want to respond; “good people would run, if the people in our area weren’t horrible/sketchy/scary people who will slash your tires, menace you, steal your signs and defame you while you campaign.”

Derby is for everyone, the good the bad, the mediocre 🤣. No matter what. 🥰 Don’t let terfs (my autocorrect wanted to type teefs instead) dull your skate sparkle. I skated for 10 years, I was all skate levels and levels of seriousness. Got my ass handed to my by all genders and was ok with it.

If it was magical, then some of us older broads could get a little extra from our gynos when we hit perimenopause, then we’d be amazing at sports. 🙄 my trans male friends should be dominating pickleball then. It takes so many factors to excel at sports, especially derby!

Can’t convince these people. It’s like talking to a tree, except the tree won’t assault you when it gets frustrated, except the tree creates oxygen (never mind, 🤣) I’ll keep wasting my breathe because you and others are worth it. These bans/restrictions/laws are unconstitutional and unjust. 🏳️‍⚧️

Amazing! I loved the fun uniforms so much. I had beige shorts and a purple “furry” patch of fabric that I wore as a merkin. I wanted one in each team color 🤣. I didn’t go that far, it was ALOT. Again, we didn’t take ourselves too seriously. Trans players aren’t ruining anything. 💕🏳️‍⚧️

We don’t need the government telling us we can’t play mixed gender, with trans women. We sign waivers. We play with humans of all genders who weigh more/weigh less, all skill levels. It’s government overreach. 🧵

*this* I tried explaining this to some assholes on FB today. They told me trans women were diminishing my accomplishments as an athlete 🙄. I wore fishnets and booty shorts GUY, pretty sure *I* was diminishing myself (and I was ok with it). As adults we play this as a hobby, we know the risks 🧵
