It's exceedingly clear elected "representative" bodies at the national & local levels of the United States are both ill equipped and (writ large) unwilling to intervene on the widespread and long forewarned abuses of the U.S. federal government under a highly criminal ultra-national administration.

The more I reflect & look around, the more it's obvious the same elitist, comfort class forces within nonprofit, philanthropic, electoral, and private sectors not only quelled revolutionary leadership, but power struggled to remain at the helm of major orgs & institutions continually failing us all

Even worse, during this time peak DEI tokenization by that same supremacist comfort class attempted to appease communities most under threat by offering access, surface-level friendship, and professional positionality that created allures of progress and unity while ignoring power imbalances...

Within the 1st year of 45's admin, those closest to the pain & most vulnerable had a strong pulse and alarm for what was happening and what could be.

Openly warning as much was met with ridicule, disdain, outcasting & minimization of those already marginalized voices by the comfort class.

Beyond believing in the integrity of my country, feeling naive for believing in people is the worst moral injury

It didn’t have to be like this.

This administration is flooding the zone so furiously that people have largely lost track of the lethal attacks on boats in the Caribbean, the gov’t shutdown, the economy, failed release of the Epstein files & so much else. It’s a tactic of would-be strongmen.

A Bronx high schooler showed up for a routine immigration court date. ICE was waiting. A NYC public school student’s arrest was part of a nationwide blitz of immigration authorities detaining migrants in courthouses in an effort to speed up deportations.

This young man has lived through two kidnappings in his brief life. The first was by the Sinaloa cartel. The second was by ICE.
