three spirits wait
at the water's edge
aiming to leap far
before the sky veils
holding on
between heavens, praying
their transition goes well

A fleeting moment gently made.
In laughter's song and sorrow's sigh,
We chase the stars and touch the sky.
Through every tear a flower grows,
In every storm the rainbow shows.
Life is both fragile and profound,
A journey where love can be found.

Then I met real monsters.
Not the kind that vanish with the light,
But the ones that smile, shake hands,
And sign laws in broad daylight.
The monsters were never in my closet.
They were never hiding under my bed.
They were learning to walk,
Learning to talk,
Learning to lead instead

Spring tiptoes in on tender feet,
