I totally understand the frustration. You don’t need to care. But men should. Men should realise this is a problem we can fix on our own like adults. We can work on judging each other less for being emotionally vulnerable, and cultivate friendships more, and don’t need women to do the work for us.

Moreover it’s an indication of progressive vs conservative values. Conservatives have a tribalist mentality - they care for the in-group, but not the out-group, and will vote that way, not caring until the in-group is effected. Progressives don’t - at least in principle - have an out-group.
