i'd say my biggest cheat here is that the 'visual' body is always playing catch-up a tiny bit to the 'real' physics body, which gives me a bit o time to smooth out the worst physics jitters / apply some quite heavy interpolation

the physical body can def be quite jittery at high speeds on the joint
