Researchers Are Resurrecting Billion-Dollar Disaster Tool Trump Killed Nonprofit Climate Central has hired the scientist behind a key database of costly weather disasters to rebuild it.

This is the goal… “higher” education only for the rentier class, vocational training for the worker class. (The “middle class” is an imaginary construct designed to make workers feel like they are not in the “lower” class.)

Automated teaching for most kids… and the expensive private education will still have actual teachers.

And when test scores or whatever metric they decide to use to measure who has learned, they’ll also make a determination about who is “capable of learning.” 🤬

I think we’re on the cusp of mass attempts to automate teaching, and I also think it is going to be a massive wasteful failure in ways that will make the “learning loss” of the pandemic look like a speed bump next to a mountain.

People refuse to accept the idea that the police are not particularly interested in or good at preventing sexual violence unless it’s something they can sensationalize to increase power for policing.
