I cannot stop thinking about this woman & the community that tried to keep her family together. We are not powerless. Call your reps, raise your voice, get her reunited with her loved ones. Families belong together. And yes: under this lawless regime, if they can do it to her, they can do it to you.

When we call for politicians to "do something," this is what we mean. Not speeches or op-eds or campaign rallies, but using every tool available to disrupt the advance of fascism.

Even established authoritarian regimes consider arresting defiant judges an extreme tactic—a serious escalation usually reserved for after one-party rule is firmly entrenched. Seeing a judge arrested in the US today should alarm everyone who values democratic governance. This cannot be allowed. 🧵
