Its grievance. Bob the Drag Queen of all people did a good video highlighting how a lot of this has it seems new rappers (Cardi B, Megan The Stallion), and a drop in star power highlighted a deep rooted insecurity and misogyny. This feeds into the conspiratorial 'it must be THEM' thinking.
