I think it’s clear that NYT is neutral on the question of democracy vs. dictatorship, even in the U.S.

It's really weird to demand accountability from a NYC mayoral candidate for a deadly NYC shooting rather than the current NYC mayor, an ex-cop who campaigned on a "tough on crime" platform and promptly got indicted for crimes

Even at our local level we see how easy and fast it is to tear down symbols of progress, all done in spite of the proven success it represented, and for what exactly? Just a drop in the ocean of collective dignity that humanity is losing these days.

How can you demand a backbone from Democrats in fighting against the lawless far-right upheaval in this country when you support even further right governments abroad that are carrying out genocide?

Corey Booker needs to give this kind of talking-to to Chuck Schumer and that Democrat senator in New Jersey that voted against stopping arms sales to Israel, especially when you factor in that only 8% of Democrat voters currently support Israel's actions against Palestine.
