So when nobody can stop you from doing something WHAT DO YOU DO is the question.

The dances and events I started paid for themselves. Others had done them years earlier but money and interest had faded.

My main point of all that is I did all that because nobody stopped me from doing it. I had to check in with GS National on the horseback riding, my council didn’t allow it.

And the person who was slated to be their next president (on a new 2-year plan) resigned in protest.

My time in the PTA ended (after being recognized by the district) when the middle school backtracked on allowing a protest for Parkland. Guys with big guns walked on the sidewalk outside the MIDDLE SCHOOL.

I created camps that allowed horseback riding, dances and other social events that didn’t previously exist.

During my work hiatus I was super involved in ways to improve my kids’ lives and so many others that happened to be in the same age range. Girls especially, bc Girl Scouts, but all due to PTA.

I cannot believe I live in a country where the entire government has been designed to protect pedophiles.

Same.

I’ve had more slack messages after work than I did all day.

She was from Iowa and let us all know.

We still joke about it. What if we had a gun? What if she walked in on something? What if we surprised her back?

(Kids did it all the time. Different expectations for kids - we still encourage it, it’s easier on the dog.)

Back in the day I was one of the ppl involved in all our community building stuff. (And we had a lot!) It was weird. Unusual. I can think of 2 other times it happened.

She also did this thing I’d never heard of where they’d drop off a gift of some sort on the first day of some spring month. Like a basket or bucket of stuff on the porch.

It was so bizarre. I will do it at my closest friends’ get togethers but that’s it. Just a random moment in the middle of the day - anytime! There are no rules!

This cost money.

Years ago I had a neighbor named Brooke that would just walk into my house without even knocking.

At the end of the work day I checked my email and saw I’d been tagged in a doc. It was about a meeting we had and it included “leverage her expertise” referring to me. It is SO nice to have the respect of so many devs.

After doing a 3-point turn I drove on the wrong side of the street on my first driver’s test.

Really encouraging article - I hope he’s right. I fear there are too many stupid (in various ways) people. That is why we have Trump.

My husband’s friend ran for county commissioner years ago and my husband thinks campaign signs are donated to the campaign. Anyone know?

These non-shower pre-wedding events drive me crazy. Oh we’re just honoring the bride? Making her drive 6 hours to honor her?

Funny enough when I was at work last week I was missing working and now that I have to work tomorrow I’d rather finish my book.

Do I care what they think? No, I do not. They suck.

There is a set of cousins including 2 of my kids moving to NYC this summer (my oldest is already there) and this makes me so happy. It’s all of them in that age group. Both of my sisters have one.
