I love Slewfoot! I’m listening to it on audiobook and I have the feeling it’s going to become one of my favorite novels.

Working on another novel is never a bad idea, but if you already have a long backlist, I’d probably go with working on different pitches.

I’ve been exploring different genres, but lately all I seem to want to write about are generational curses, and questionable choices made in crumbling old manor houses.

Who else is working on something gothic? 🕯️

I finished this on audiobook recently and loved it! I really enjoyed the worldbuilding and Ava Reid’s writing (so atmospheric, and perfect for dark academia + gothic fantasy). ✨🌊

I love the sound of this! That’s such a great title!

Same here! It’s my favorite genre to read, but every time I sit down to try and write it, I get overwhelmed by the research!

This book really wasn’t working, and I’ve contemplated shelving it so many times…but now that I’m writing it from the villain POV, everything is slowly falling into place. 🖤

When you try writing the book from the villain POV and suddenly the characters are a thousand times more interesting and the book finally starts to make SENSE. 😭🖤
