To expand on the allyship portion, I think it's generally inline with most other liberal bent NPOs/orgs/communities. There's a good amount of celebration of differences Black Diaspora Roller Derby and Fuego Latino Roller Derby headlined the annual roller derby convention this last year.

The pro-wrestling on skates era is long over modernly. Many leagues love to play up silliness in a lot of areas, but people generally take the sport itself pretty seriously these days. Performative allyship is true to some degree. I think it really depends on where you are and who's in leadership.
