Nope. For me I find it anesthetizing I think. The idea that some mythical superhero will save us is the other side of the coin to the “strongman” will save us.

I think the fictional softens up the mass psyche for the real world.

If that makes sense.

This is exactly right and a big reason I can go several lifetimes without another superhero movie ever again.
