21.10.2025 11:21 — 👍 35 🔁 4 💬 2 📌 0The friend info and bundles could be hidden away in drop downs imo, would already help a lot with decluttering the UI
21.10.2025 10:17 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 1Interesting, hadn't come across this personally as I always use uniforms for colours. I do understand the reasoning for it though, it'd be equally weird if the default value wasn't converted.
What I'd do is create a gdshaderinc with a function to define colours like `vec3 grey = srgb(.5)` 🤷
Can you guess what this is looming in the background? (I’d be genuinely surprised if someone get this right) #screenshotsaturday

Yes mostly alone I have someone helping me for the sound design and music. Level design is probably one of the hardest parts for me as it requires a lot of trial and error whilst I'm still learning
20.09.2025 16:36 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Modified the lighting and layout a bit, already better. For the concave vs convex problem, rim lighting could work though I'll have to see how much it impacts the aesthetics
10.09.2025 13:08 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0All very valid points 🙏 I'll see what I can come up with
10.09.2025 11:40 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0A lot of works from Simon Stålenhag have been a source of inspiration. The "Tales From The Loop" TV show based of his work also captures the vibe I'm going for.
10.09.2025 10:26 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Great feedback! I get your point, the overcast weather probably isn't helping here, I'll have to play around with the lighting see if it helps. Another solution might be to have an addition "fake" lighting on the rocks by adjusting the brightness based on the normal direction 🤔
10.09.2025 10:21 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I’d prefer to avoid the “yellow paint” when possible but for the tutorial I think it may be necessary ? 🤔
10.09.2025 07:27 — 👍 28 🔁 4 💬 4 📌 0I have touch buttons on one that is NOT induction it's borderline dangerous, my cat can accidentally turn them on if he decides to sit on it. I physically cut the power to it when I leave the house in fear of the whole place burning down 🤦
09.09.2025 21:33 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I keep telling myself “I don’t need x feature”. Only to find it makes so much sense after I later decide to implement it. Anyways, there’s now a sprint button 😅

05.09.2025 23:57 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I think @heartmachine.bsky.social 's Hyperlight Drifter does a great job by having a pixel art animation, you already kinda know what to expect, before seeing any gameplay 🤷 (they also serve as cutscenes in the game)

I know this kind of game is hard to market with in-game footage alone, but (hot take) I always have a gripe with trailers that stray from the game's actual art style. I feel it creates a sense of false expectation, and then often feel underwhelmed when the gameplay footage finally shows up
05.09.2025 16:20 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I think it'll take a while for me to be impressed after the absolute monster of a trailer from @moonhood.bsky.social 's A Midnight Walk Trailer. Animation, style, music, everything hits way too hard
